Renee Maria Osubu is a Nigerian artist, born and raised in the diversity of London. Her surroundings are prominent in her work as she desires to unravel the compartmentalised views within society.

From showcasing the community of Harare, to exploring brotherhood in Philadelphia, Renee captures different perspectives of life through both photography and film.

The main themes in her work are adolescence, community and representation. 

She is a portrait and documentary photographer, best known for her photography series Dear Philadelphia, which is now a film available to watch on BFI Player.


Renee is a Davis Peace Project Award winner, BJP Portrait of Britain 2019 winner, a recipient of the Michael Wilson Award and her work is permanently held as part of the UAL Collection.
