Renee Maria Osubu is a British Nigerian photographer and director born and raised in London. She is best known for her photography series

Dear Philadelphia, which she extended into an award winning short film. Winning the Jury award for Best Short Documentary at Blackstar Film Festival 2021 and had its international premier at Sundance Film Festival.

Her surroundings are prominent in her work as she often investigates themes of community, identity, race and childhood. From showcasing the community of London, to exploring fatherhood in Philadelphia, Renee captures intimate moments of life through both photography and film. 

Renee is the Vimeo Staff Pick Award winner at Blackstar 2021, Davis Peace Project Award winner, British Journal of Photography - Portrait of Britain 2019 and 2021 winner, a recipient of the First Place Michael Wilson Award and her work is permanently held as part of the University of the Arts London Collection. 

Her most recent photography series 'Fathers & Figures' celebrates fatherhood in London, commissioned by Leica x BJP1854.
